In 1994, Rwanda descended into horror with the genocide of the Tutsis, which claimed the lives of over 800,000 people in just 100 days. Three decades later, Les Niouzz seized the opportunity of commemorations to accompany Donatille, a survivor of the genocide, on her journey back to her homeland. Joined by Belgian children of Rwandan descent, this journey aimed to expose them to the magnitude of the chaos that engulfed the country in 1994. In this documentary, Donatille recounts her tale of survival, providing a poignant testament to courage and resilience in the face of unspeakable horror.
